“The concrete bowl will benefit the skate community because it will keep this important element in our park to ensure Hot Spot Skate Park continues to be a destination park for not only our community but for the larger skating community that travels to find good parks," said Amber Furnas, a member of the active youth group. "There are so many communities that do not have a dedicated space for skaters to practice and perfect the sport. This sport needs a designated space as much as any other sport and it prevents skaters from being in areas where skating is not allowed.”
